  1. MYVA OPERATION ENTRUST TO HOST ITS INAUGURAL COMMUNITY FORUM ON FEBRUARY 10th
    Feb 4, 2016  -  BIRMINGHAM –The MyVA Operation Entrust Alabama Community Board will conduct its first community forum on Wednesday, February 10th from 5:00-6:30 pm at Ramsey High School, located at 1800 13th Avenue, South. The forum is open to all Veterans, family members, caregivers, Veteran Service Organizations and members of the public. The Operation Entrust Board is charged with building relationships in the community between, local, state and federal service providers. Operation Entrust Board is designed to bring together leaders, resources and advocates to improve outcomes and experiences of Veterans, service personnel and their families.
    CAPITOL WREATH LAYING CEREMONY HONORS VETERANS
    Dec 4, 2015  -  MONTGOMERY – The public is invited to attend the Wreaths Across America Capitol Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7th, in the Capitol Auditorium and the Old Supreme Court Chamber of the Capitol where the Alabama Fallen Heroes Memorial is located. The ceremony will promote a week-long series of events designed to raise awareness and appreciation for the sacrifices of our nation’s veterans and their families.
    REAR ADMIRAL CLYDE MARSH RECEIVES VETERAN OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM ALABAMA COUNCIL OF VIETNAM VETERANS
    Nov 18, 2015  -  MONTGOMERY – Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) Commissioner, Rear Admiral Clyde Marsh, was awarded the Vietnam Veteran of the Year Award from the Alabama Council of Vietnam Veterans and the National Veterans Day Foundation. The event was held on Wednesday, November 11th at the annual World Peace luncheon in Birmingham.
    ADVA HEADQUARTERS OFFICE TO CLOSE TEMPORARILY FOR RELOCATION
    Nov 10, 2015  -  Montgomery – The Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs will be closed from Monday, November 16th through Wednesday, November 26th to relocate the headquarters from the current location at the RSA Plaza Building to the RSA Union Building. The office will re-open at 8:00 am on Monday, November 30th.
